Ultra Pulse CO2 Laser

Ultra Pulse CO2 Active and Deep FX

The CO2 fractional laser resurfacing procedure treats a fraction of the skin, leaving bridges of untouched skin that aid in the healing process and reduce downtime.

CO2 reduces pronounced lines, acne scars, severe textural changes caused from sun damage, benign lesions and moles, melasma and skin tightening. This is done by removing deeper layers of damaged skin and stimulating the regeneration of healthy skin underneath.

The latest technological advancement in the field of laser resurfacing is the use of light beams that are either pulsed or scattered at a very high rate. This minimizes heat damage that the skin might otherwise be exposed to. It also allows for the CO2 laser to be utilized for deeper tissue removal and for more effective removal of pronounced wrinkles and creases. This technology allows the laser skin resurfacing treatment to provide some of the most dramatic, age-defying results possible.

There are two types of CO2 treatments offered in our office. The Active FX and Total FX.

Active FX is a facial resurfacing procedure for hyperpigmentation caused from over sun exposure, fine lines and winkles. Recovery time is 7-10 days.

Total FX is a combination of Active and Deep FX for deeper wrinkles, skin tightening, textural changes, hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. Recovery time is 2-3 weeks.
