PCA Skin Chemical Peels

What is PCA Skin?

PCA Skin is a skin care line that is considered one of the most highly esteemed brands in the cosmetic dermatology industry. We have been using PCA Skin since we opened our clinic in 2008.

PCA Skin uses blends of well-tolerated, safe and effective peeling ingredients in their peel solutions. There are combinations of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acids (BHA), trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and retinoids which are used at different strengths to address a variety of skin conditions.

Why do we like PCA Skin treatments?

Because there is something for everyone. PCA Skin  has clinically researched and scientifically formulated their products to treat skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, aging skin, hyperpigmentation, and mature skin.

PCA Skin treatments accelerate cellular turnover which is the number one reason why we suggest exfoliating treatments. As the epidermis exfoliates with each treatment, this allows skin care products and chemical peel ingredients to penetrate deeper, which targets skin conditions on a deeper level. This will also leave your skin glowing over time.

What is the peel process once it has been applied?

PCA Skin peels are self-neutralizing. This means you will leave our office with the layers of ingredients on your skin. Our medical aesthetician will give you instructions and take home care products to use up to 72 hours post treatment. Your skin will begin to peel 48-72 hours post treatment.

How much will I peel?

Visible exfoliation doesn’t determine the efficacy of treatment. Generally, healthy skin has less visible exfoliation. Exfoliation often takes place at a cellular level and is not always apparent to the naked eye. Results will vary from patient to patient.
