Joanna Nguyen
Joanna Nguyen is a proud Washington state native and Certified Physician Assistant with over 15 years of combined medical experience. Joanna worked as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist at UWMC’s Cardiac Cath lab before graduating with her Master’s from University of Washington School of Medicine's MEDEX Northwest PA program in 2014.
During PA school, Joanna thoroughly enjoyed a dermatology rotation that took place at UWMC, Seattle Children’s Hospital and Fred Hutch Cancer Center. Post-graduation, Joanna worked as an Interventional Radiology PA for 7 years prior to returning to dermatology. With diverse medical experience and passion for medical dermatology, Joanna aims to provide evidence-based, multi-dimensional and compassionate care for patients of all ages and backgrounds. She enjoys the continuity of care of and for the entire family. She embraces the “less is more” approach and loves to spend time with patients explaining how to build and maintain a healthy skin barrier.
Outside of the clinic, Joanna cherishes spending time with her husband and extended family, is an avid supporter of the ever-changing PNW food and wine scene and enjoys traveling.
