The Juvéderm® collection of fillers are injectable gels made from modified hyaluronic acid. Over time, your skin loses elasticity. This natural process, plus genetics and environmental factors like sun exposure, can cause moderate to severe lines and folds. Juvéderm delivers natural-looking and long-lasting results from 12-24 months (depending on the filler and injection site) before the body gradually and naturally absorbs the particles.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body which helps deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and acts as a cushioning agent. As we age, we lose our hyaluronic acid.
