Our Story
Mercer Island Dermatology offers comprehensive medical and aesthetic skin care and is conveniently located in the downtown business district. We strive to provide a welcoming and caring dermatology office that cares for a diverse variety of conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. The practice was started in 2008 by Allison Hughes MD, PhD, a board certified dermatologist with a passion for general dermatology and an interest in cosmetic dermatology.
Practice Focus
The practice sees patients of all ages and addresses a broad spectrum of family skin care issues from eczema to acne and mature concerns for adults from skin cancer to facial rejuvenation. We are dedicated to listening and designing treatments to meet individual patient’s needs. Dr. Hughes attends national conferences in her commitment to provide the latest medical therapies and technologies.
Giving Back
Growing up on Mercer Island, Dr. Hughes understands our community and is actively involved in the promotion of skin health in the Pacific Northwest. We donate our resources and time to local schools, sports teams, religious groups, cancer research, education foundations and fundraisers. Our providers also perform free skin cancer screenings at local hospitals and at events for the national Skin Cancer Foundation.
